About the Tour

The CAPCOM PRO TOUR (CPT) is the premier league destination for competitive fighting games. Featuring the latest flagship title of the legendary Street Fighter series, the CPT brings together players and spectators from all over the world to share their love of gaming. With 20 official events, and even more independently run tournaments involved, the CPT showcases the very best that competitive gaming has to offer.

The Game

Street Fighter V is the featured game for the Capcom Pro Tour 2017 season featuring 26 new and returning characters (with more being released throughout the year) with exciting battle mechanics such as the Variable System and Critical Arts.

Tour Structure

Players from across the globe will battle through a yearlong tournament circuit in order to claim one of the 32 qualification spots for the year end Capcom Cup. Players can qualify through any of the methods listed below:

  • 1 is invited from the Capcom Cup 2016
  • 30 qualify via the Global Ranking Point Leaderboard
  • 1 qualifies via the Last Chance Qualifier

Players in Capcom-approved tournaments will be awarded rankings points based on their results as follows:

Premier Events

Premier Events award ranking points to the top 64 players. These points are tracked on the Global Ranking Point Leaderboard.

Ranking Events

Ranking Events award ranking points to the top 16 players. These points are tracked on the Global Ranking Point Leaderboard and the Regional Ranking Point Leaderboard associated with each player.

Evolution 2017

We’re excited to have EVO2017 (the largest fighting game tournament in the world) as part of the Capcom Pro Tour once again. This event awards ranking points to the top 256 players. These points are tracked on the Global Ranking Point Leaderboard.

Regional Finals

The top seven players from each region qualify for their Regional Final. Other players from each region can compete for the eighth qualification spot at each region’s Regional Final Last Chance Qualifier, an open-bracket tournament hosted on the first day of each Regional Final. The first place winner of each Regional Final qualifies for the Capcom Cup.

Capcom Cup Last Chance Qualifier

This is an open-bracket tournament hosted on the first day of the Capcom Cup. It does not award any Global or Regional Ranking Points, but the first place winner is guaranteed a qualifying spot for the Capcom Cup.

Livestream

All Premier Events will be live streamed via the Capcom Fighters Twitch.tv channel. Ranking Events will be live streamed by each respective Tournament Organizer on a channel of their choice. Keep on the lookout for announcements regarding stream times and schedules.

* No Global or Regional Ranking Points will be awarded to the winners of the Capcom Cup Last Chance Qualifier or the Regional Finals Last Chance Qualifiers.
